Wichard Groupe North America is excited to introduce Erica Lush as our newest sponsored sailor.
Erica Lush is an American offshore sailor pursuing the highest levels of the sport, determined not only to compete among the world’s best, but to expand the pathway for more Americans and young women to follow.
With more than 80,000 miles at sea, including a circumnavigation and extensive sailing aboard IMOCA 60 and Class 40 yachts. Now based in Lorient, France — the center of elite offshore performance — she is building a disciplined, long-term campaign toward the 2032 Vendée Globe through the highly competitive Figaro 3 circuit.
In 2025, Erica became the third American to ever compete in the legendary Solitaire du Figaro. Her approach is intentional: Train alongside the world’s best, refine precision in one-design competition, and build a campaign rooted in technical excellence.
Be sure to follow along and support Erica's campaign at www.lushsailing.com and @lushsailing on socials.

Offshore, I've pushed boats to their limits, whether sending it down huge waves in the Southern Ocean, or power reaching so fast that you can't see beyond the spray. I've pushed through the physical and mental fatigue that comes with ocean racing.
In those moments — when the boat is slamming, the rig is loaded, and every system is under strain — you feel exactly what’s at stake. Mechanical loads spike. Small weaknesses get exposed. There is no margin for failure.
I’ve learned that safety and performance are inseparable. The same strength that keeps you safe is what allows you to push harder. And when I only have 10 minutes to rest, sleep will only happen if I trust my gear. At this level, marginal gains also matter: Reduced friction, faster maneuvers, no mistakes.
That’s why I turn to Wichard Groupe. When I’m offshore, I need absolute confidence in every piece of kit on board. In a campaign where every detail matters, confidence in your hardware is not just reassuring — it is essential.
