A totally new concept in structural headsail furlers, the patented TackFurl system moves the tensioning adjustments to the bottom of the system. With an integrated halyard lock and a cunningham to control the drum height, TackFurl effectively eliminates the need for halyards and top swivels.
Designed for sailors seeking simplicity, reliability, and performance, TackFurl eliminates the weaknesses of traditional furling systems while enhancing sail shape and ease of use.
What is TackFurl?
At the top, an integrated lock eliminates mast compression and the need for a traditional halyard or top swivel. The streamlined mechanism shortens the length of the fittings at the top of the sail, increasing the maximum luff length of your headsail.
At the bottom, a low-profile drum is raised and lowered by a cunningham while Torlon® ball bearings ensure smooth rotation. With no link plates under the drum, the tack of the sail remains as close as possible to the deck.
The result?
Cleaner sail shape, fewer failure points, and an extra available pit winch during maneuvers.

TackFurl Models and Sizes
The TackFurl is currently available in three sizes for boats ranging from 26' - 43' LOA. The TackFurl system comes standard with Facnor's lightweight, elliptical "R" Foil Sections as well as the halyard and cunningham lines.

TackFurl Installation
TackFurl is provided as a kit with all the necessary components for straightforward installation. No linkplates are required, further simplifying installation. The included cunningham bridle can easily be led aft to either a 1:1 line in a clutch or a purchase system in a cam cleat, allowing the drum height to be adjusted from the cockpit.
