Patrick Fitch Joins as Courant Lead Ambassador

Wichard Groupe North America and Courant are proud to introduce Patrick Fitch as our lead ambassador for Courant in the United States. A dedicated arborist, competitor, content creator, and long-time friend of Courant whose passion for climbing and innovation continues to make an impact across the tree care industry.

Based in western Maryland, Patrick lives with his family while serving as Lead Climber at Viking Tree Service in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. In his role, he specializes in plant health care, precision pruning, cabling and bracing, technical removals, and crane-assisted tree work. With more than two decades of climbing experience, Patrick has built a reputation for professionalism, technical skill, and a commitment to advancing safe and efficient work practices.

Patrick's journey into the at-height industry began long before he entered professional arboriculture. As a teenager, he helped teach rock climbing and rappelling to other kids, developing a passion for rope work and movement in vertical environments. During high school, he worked as a chimney sweep, further refining the climbing and access skills that would eventually lead him into tree care shortly after graduation.

Over the years, Patrick has become an active member of the arborist community, participating in both competitions and industry events. His first competitive event was ArbTrek Pittsburgh in 2015. After serving as a judge at several events, he returned to competition through the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) circuit in 2021. His involvement has helped him connect with fellow professionals while continually challenging himself to grow both personally and professionally.

In addition to his work in the field, Patrick has spent nearly a decade creating climbing and arboriculture-focused video content (on Instagram as @tiedyeclimber), helping showcase both the technical and human side of the profession. Through competition, education, and media, he has become a respected voice within the arborist community.

Patrick's relationship with Courant began in 2021 when he first started climbing on the Rebel and Squir ropes. When the Kalimba was introduced, it quickly became his rope of choice.

"As soon as they released the Kalimba, I switched to it and have been on it ever since. Hands down my favorite rope because of how it performs and its diameter, giving it that great in-hand feel and grip."

In 2022, Patrick joined Courant as one of the brand's first North American ambassadors. Since then, he has been an active contributor to product feedback and development discussions, helping strengthen the connection between working arborists and the equipment they depend on every day.

Patrick embodies many of the values that define the Courant brand: expertise, innovation, collaboration, and a passion for working at height. We are proud to have him as part of the Courant team here in the United States and look forward to supporting his continued success in the field, in competition, and throughout the arborist community.

"It's been a great team to be a part of. I felt connected to everyone immediately. They listen to feedback and bounce ideas back and forth to develop some of the best products available to our industry. I look forward to continuing to grow with them and working on future products for our industry."
