  • Keep to the working load limit WLL (M.W.L.) engraved in kg.
  • Visual check of complete nut screwing compulsory; no thread must be showing.
  • Maillon Rapide quick links are only to be loaded along the major axis.
  • Maillon Rapide quick links should be carefully checked at regular intervals. If you are in any doubt about the safety of a quick link after checking, replace it with a new one.
  • When fastened with a wrench up to the proper tightening torque, Maillon Rapide quick links are considered a permanent connector.
  • Maillon Rapide should always be fitted with parts made of same material.
  • When connected with chain, Maillon Rapide quick links should be of the same diameter.
  • Never connnect any Maillon Rapide quick links onto a lifting chain.
  • Brass Maillon Rapide quick links offer an inherent resistance to oxidation and rust, while the zinc content also improves its overall corrosion resistance.

Materials

Material Specification - Solid Brass

Brass is a corrosion‑resistant copper alloy well suited for light‑to‑medium‑duty quick links used in marine, outdoor, and general hardware environments. Its non‑ferrous composition provides strong resistance to rust and moisture, ensuring dependable performance in humid or salt‑adjacent conditions. Brass also offers smooth, low‑friction threading that minimizes galling and keeps screw‑gate operation consistent.

Because it is non‑sparking and non‑magnetic, brass is appropriate for fuel, chemical, and other sensitive environments.

Rod: Cu Zn 37, Standard EN 12165

Nut: Cu Zn 4 Pb3, Standard EN 12164
