Founded in 1919 by Henri Wichard in Thiers, France, Wichard began as a forging specialist manufacturing safety products for industrial applications. For more than 100 years, Wichard’s main mission has been to provide all our customers with quality products that ensure both safety and optimum performance for their sports and professional activities.

Today, Wichard is one of the leading brands for maritime fittings, synonymous with reliability, corrosion resistance, safety, and quality. Wichard products are now fitted by all major yards, used by the most demanding sailors, and sold in 5 continents through the company’s global distribution network. 

As a result of a unique expertise in stamp forging, Wichard has also become a key industrial parts manufacturer for a number of sectors, including automotive, aeronautics, medical, parachuting, and industrial supplied. Manufactured exclusively in France, Wichard forges parts and components from 1g to 1kg and larger in materials such as stainless steel and titanium. The Wichard brand has been ISO 9100 and 14001 certified.
